Everybody is Irish on March 17th! Join New York’s Irish community and friends from around the world for the 2016 New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Fifth Avenue. The first St. Patrick’s Day parade in NYC was organized in 1762 by a band of homesick Irish ex-pats and Irish military members serving the British Army stationed in the colonies in New York. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the few that does not allow cars, floats, or other vehicles.
