The City Quilter is a 4,000 foot quilting haven located in Chelsea. This shop specializes in fabric for the urban quilter and sewer-sophisticated, contemporary, exotic- including an extensive collection of batiks, hand-dyed, Japanese fabric. They have over 4,000 bolts of fabric , a large collection of books, sewing notions and gifts appealing quilters, sewers, embroiderers , and other fiber artists. Best of all they offer a wide range of classes from the newbie that wants to learn how to use a sewing machine ( do you remember what that is?) to the advanced quilter who might be interested in a 2 day workshop. Crazy Fridays– This is an ongoing, studio-style class for crazy quilters, embroiderers, art quilters and appliqués- anyone who needs time to sew and share ideas in a friendly creative atmosphere.
Intro To Patchwork By Machine-In 7 sessions you’ll learn all that’s needed to complete a 4 block quilt by machine.
Dear Jane-Learn how to put together a quilt with 169 little blocks by both hand and machine sewing. This is suppose to be one of the most fun classes, filled with camaraderie and support. This class has been going strong for 16 years.
