Shiney marbleized chocolate domes that look like an exhibit in a museum are filled with praline, passion fruit, mint chips and dulce de leche, the specialty of the chocolate shop Stick with Me. In 2010 Susanna Yoon left her corporate job to enroll in the Professional Pastry Arts program, spent a year as pastry chef at Cafe Boulud before moving to Per Se where she became head chocolatier.
Her boutique sweet shop on Mott Street, no bigger than a bon bon, also carries toffee, caramels, nougat and elegant little cakes. She uses unusual ingredients such as yuzu, matcha and togarasi pepper to her confections and the presentation of chocolates in a little book makes a really special gift.
