This version of the 1947 Broadway musical breathes new life into an age-old theme. Starring Tony-nominee Melissa Errico, Finian’s Rainbow follows an Irishman who steals a feisty leprechaun’s pot of gold and escapes with his daughter Sharon to “Missitucky”, a mythical region in the United States (representing the old “Jim Crow” south). Romance abounds in the midst of bigotry, economic disparity and cultural injustice.
