September 16th-January 2nd
It only took 101 years for esteemed Cuban-American abstract minimalist painter Carmen Herrera to secure her first solo show! The exhibition Carmen Herrera: Lines of Sight features more than 50 works of art including paintings, three-dimensional pieces and works on paper. It is a marvel to view her large, impressive body of work – she has been painting for almost 80 years and continues to do so from her studio in Manhattan. Herrera’s international recognition may have come late in life but she is a formidable force in the modernist abstract movement.
